Extracted root tip #22, did 3-4mm of Alveoloplasty in lower incisor area and placed 2 implants yesterday. Uneventful procedure, not really excessive bleeding. 50Ncm for both implants so I placed locator attachments and did a Mucropren Soft liner in relief holes.

DUDE this is enough to give me some instant grey hair. Sounds like this one was the perfect storm. I am glad that you managed it really well. Were you nervous? Sounds like you handled that like a pro. How is the patient now?

Way to go. Sounds like you handle it very well. Always something to learn from this for all of us to get better for our own patients and others. I’m always skeptical of the medical history that it’s accurate, so I always ask my own questions, in addition, such as if they smoke or diabetic, or on any medication’s. I started placing these implants 6 months ago. Make sure the healing abutment is the regular size (not mini), and make sure to remove any bone over the implant.

- The implant could have been non-integrated and spinning.
- The healing abutment could have been binding on bone.
- The healing abutment could have been the platform size.

If the implant had sufficient stability for a healing above men which is typically 20 Newton centimeters and above, and an IQ of 60 or above then, either the healing above it was not the correct platform, or sometimes doctors can put it in the wrong path of insertion, and it doesn’t seem to thread. Most likely just a simple common mistake of one of those.
