About to do my first removal of a cemented implant crown (just the crown, the implant itself is fine).

It’s a bone level implant with a cemented metall-ceramic crown on top. Do you have any recommendations/tips how to proceed?

      Thank a bunch in advance

      • Thank you for the tips Steven.
Don’t have a CBCT but an iOS. The implant and restoration are nearly 20 years in place and I guess from the slightly buccal placement of the implant that an angulated abutment was used.

        • Hey Jakob, how did it go? I feel like it’s pretty much like doing an access for an endo. Usually it’s pretty straightforward, however sometimes you can run into trouble. The main difficult points are finding the channel without damaging the crown, debris in the channel, being careful not to damage the screw, and getting the screw out. LMK if I can help!
