This happened a while back, and I figured some of you might like to know how you would address it. This healing abutment that need to be removed was stripped. And some of these cases you can just clean out the inside of the screw access, because sometimes food and debris are in it and once that’s done, you can remove it with a prosthetic torque wrench in reverse. If it truly is stripped out, then you can create a straight slot With a handpiece and any type of bur that is thin. Typically you can use a variety of instruments to engage it after that to turn it in the counterclockwise rotation to loosen it. Here’s a picture of what it looks like and some of the instrumentation tools that could be used.
