Break in at our practice today 🤦🏻♂️ our new practice is still under construction so luckily no dental equipment was stolen. They stole tools and a compressor.
Have you guys had any vandalism in your practices? What do you do for prevention?

Boss I don’t know the prices for such services in Cali for you, but for us if the practice is relatively not small and can afford it – we just hire night shift guards and we sleep well knowing there’s a dude guarding the practice with a licensed gun that’s ready to fire some bullets if need be.

@javohiros thanks for the suggestion man! Over here security guards aren’t allowed to do any of that. At most they can kindly ask the robber to stop 🤪

Did happen at a dental practice but happened at my c store a few times. We went to the local precinct every week to drop off food. Told them to keep an eye out around our location. Sometimes they left an empty patrol car.
Another way is we have someone in India on camera patrol to notify us of any break ins. We’ve been informed within 15 min. Just shows the robbers or their buds they can’t do a break in again

@choppedandscrewed I like it—our police don’t show up for about 30 min. In the past wanted to go myself right as the break in in happening but my wife would rather I didn’t. People are crazy. They’d shoot you just for a silly robbery. Prevention is probably the way to go.

That sucks. Put a sign out front that says ‘Dentist on Duty 24 hours’. Might scare them more than the alarm signage.
