Hey guy, I’m still pretty new to implants. I’ve placed about 30. Looking for suggestions to improve. This is my most recent one. I chose 9 mm implant due to the proximity to the nerve. My main goal was to engage natural bone beyond the apex of the socket without getting too close to the nerve. I used the Densah burs, mostly in OD mode. and placed an Astra EV 4.8×9 with 45 Ncm torque on the last 1mm. I had a hard time figuring out the best way to suture the flap.

I see the term tunnel mentioned a lot, and not sure what that means. Does anyone have a link to a video or picture diagram for what you’re talking about?

Thank you for your help! I used your advice and tunneled for another uncovery yesterday and the flap was much easier to suture. I forgot to take pictures though 🙁
