Help with etiology of periimplantitis. I had a pt get implants placed and over the course of 6 months he has had one fail and come out and another has enough bone loss to also require replacement. My frustration is I dont know what I could have done differently.
I will say the pt smokes and is allergic to penicillin. I think he also has a history of substance abuse. below are radiographs from newest to oldest.

How are the other implants doing? Do they look perfectly healthy in the patients mouth?

So what’s a CBC tell you? That they are immuno compromised? What’s the cure, plasma infusion? Would using PRF help these pts?
