Hello Ninjas,
I have a pt that is not happy with implant crown #13, and wants to get a new one. But all the information that she could get is that implant is Alphabio, any ideas how to proceed with this? Thank you.

What doesn’t she like? Are there open contacts? Lack of papilla? I’m more concerned about MB root proximity. I am not sure if a new crown will fix the underlying lack of bone between the implant and root. I feel that this can only be fixed with a root amputation, graft and sleeping the implant.

there is open contact on both sides mesial and distal that is causing food trap and gingival irritation . I was considering replacing restorations on #12 and 14 after Endo retreat, and avoid touching #13

I’m concerned that a new crown on 14 will not help the situation. Do u have a CT showing the root proximity to implant? If this is less than 2 mm, you may want endo to NSRCT w/ root amp. Then the new crown can close the contact and account for missing MB. I’m curious how Steve or Ivan would handle this.

no issue to #14 . Thank yo so much for your response. I will change the adjacent restorations.
