Hey everyone. I am tx planning #14 implant (5×8.5mm) with a transcrestal sinus lift of 4-5mm. He reports year round sinus issue; uses a nasal spray. I am concerned with the amount of radioopacity in the left sinus to move forward with sinus bump. His right sinus is completely clear. I put him on sudafed for 2 weeks (to try something different from his spray); took another scan but there is no improvement in the volume of radioopacity. I suggested that he visit his ENT for further consult in preparation for the implant and bump. What are your thoughts?

It very well could be a mucus retained cyst (very common) which typically we don’t do anything for unless you need to do a sinus lift, and that can be physically removed doing a lateral window and if you don’t want to take that on you could have the ENT remove that so it is clear and will give you a better opportunity to do a proper Crestal sinus lift.
