									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Pt has had #29-#31 implant placed 30 years ago, #30 and #29 in good functional condition. #31 hasnt had functional crown for last 10 years.  has kept &#8221; failling off&#8221;</p>
<p>Fractured/ flowered implant collar?  abutment is loose, looks like possible fractured screw.</p>
<p>Is removing the only reccomended treatment for #31 implant for this case at this stage?</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am a general dentist who is fairly new in my implant journey. The previous owner placed quite a few implants and is adamant that a prophylactic antibiotic (often a course of amoxicillin starting the day before the procedure) is imperative and necessary. </p>
<p>I have found literature on both sides of this issue. I am curious to hear others opinions&hellip;</p>
