Happy Thursday to ALL! I hope all my Implant Ninja DOJO peeps are havning a fantastic day and week. Just remember if you’re havning a bad day or week it can always be worse, like this photo of a fractured implant. Make sure you always you the torque wrench properly and don’t over torque your implants or this can happen. Only way to remove these are to remove bone around the implant and elevate and/or reverse out when enough bone has been removed. Typically some tall thin trephines are the best if needed. What type of case or topic would you like me to post in the future and/or discuss during our next webinar??? PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW…

at what torque value is considered “over torqueing”?

        • It depends on the implant system, as well as the diameter of the implant. Typically implants can be torqued at very, very high torque values and I am not one that believes in Osteo pressure necrosis. I have not experienced that clinically, and my implants are placed subcrestal and I have no bone loss around implants at extremely high torques. However, if the torque values are too high, you can fracture the implant and the more narrow diameter the implant the easier that will occur, which is why you want to ensure that you’re using the torque wrench properly so that that does not happen
