Hello Docs,
Looking for some guidance on restoring this case.
The patient had these Astra EV implants placed by a periodontist. The plan with the then restorative dentist was CONUS attachments.
The patient left the restorative dentist and came to us. He no longer wants to do CONUS or a bar overdenture due to finances.
I was planning to fabricate locator overdentures and using MUAs to angle correct the posteiror implants. However, I am struggling to fine 30 degree MUAs that are tall enough (6-7mm tissue height on the distal of each implant ; but only 3-4mm on the mesial).
Should I:
– have tru abutment fabricate custom length MUAs
– use shorter MUAs in the 2-3mm range and laser tissue away
– something else?
Thanks!

Would a lab be able to fabricate a custom abutment in a case like this?

@bmoore94 certainly could. I was between having Truabutment making custom MUAs or making custom locators
I decided to just have them make custom locators to cut out the step of attaching locators to the custom MUAs
TBD how it works out1

Thin out tissue ?

@nairysekayan considered it. Would be very frustrating to get him restored and have the tissue creep back up and prevent full seating of the prostheses though
