Well THATS not somethin you see every day. And actually the patient was fine. Luckily the drilling was lingual to the actual nerve canal.
Dont try this one at home!
Have a great weekend yall!

I’d be worried about perforating into the lingual concavity😳

Haha nothing gave it away!
I ask about the lower arch because of the occlusal plane. See how it goes up in the anterior teeth as those teeth super erupt?
I wanted to know if that occlusal plane will be corrected. It’s okay to leave it as is, but if the lower teeth were compromised also, it would be great to correct the occlusion with both…

Hey there Ahmad! Thanks for sharing this case! This looks like an excellent candidate for an overdenture case, my friend.
Is this your first case?
I like your plan. I see how the anterior segment of the maxilla is deficient in bone so placing 2 implants on either side is great. You have massive amount of bone in this case. Will you be…

Upper Anterior Implant Position
Hello William, thank you for posting this.
This is a very common issue and it is great that you did not actually break through the labial plate. Although it looks very thin on the CBCT in that region, if you flapped it you might find that there is still bone covering the implant and that no exposure is present. (I am not advising you to flap it!)

End-of-year purchases for tax purposes
Do you guys buy materials or equipment to offset taxes? I’ve always sort of done this as sort of a kneejerk reaction to saving some taxable income, but not very methodically.
Do you guys do this or are you thinking of doing this at all?
If so, what you gonna buy?

I’ll go first.
I’m going to buy a bunch of implant accessories and mess around with them. Nothing too expensive, but just handful of 20 different gadgets or so. I’ll buy some bone tacks and screws as well.
I’ve been toying with the idea of buying an X Nav and Yomi. But I’ll probably not get around to purchasing them. The technology still seems…

We normally don’t! Our practice accountant doesn’t advise it so we just don’t and I’ve never looked more into it LOL

What are you thankful for this year? 🙏🏼
View more comments-
I’ll go first here. This is a special year for us.
My older daughter, Olivia, was born with a medical issue known as a lymphatic malformation on her face and neck. We have had quite a rough time for many years due to medical emergencies related to it.
This year was the first year in a very long time that Olivia did not have any medical issues. <br…

Last year I spent a week, including Thanksgiving in the hospital, waiting for an opening in the OR to have a surgery done. I was on NPO, only liquids over Thanksgiving. So thankful to be very healthy again, active and to be able to eat turkey and all kinds of healthy food this Thanksgiving with my family! Thanks for posting, Ivan. Wishing you…

I completely agree with your reasoning here. If you feel like you can do better, you owe yourself and the patient the opportunity to do so. I also have the pleasure of seeing a lot of implants placed by a lot… Read more

What are some goals and challenges that you are working on?

I’ll go first.
1. I want to build up my bone grafting tool belt. Expanding to bigger grafts.
2. In the next 2 weeks I want to get 2 new referring doctors to my practice. I’m going to be sending out some letters and making personal visits.
