Great points. I find in very soft bone cases you may even have to undersize your osteotomy 1 mm maybe even 1 1/2 mm. It’s always best to infer prepare and worst case scenario you have to go back in and go to the next protocol and open it up slightly more but once you go larger, you can’t put that bone back, so better to play it safe if…

I agree with the experts above. As someone who is only placing implants for few years, besides the advice above, remember that if al goes not according to plan you can always graft and live to fight another day.

Luckily it’s a simple fix. BSB has a library of almost every implant out there. BUT just in the off-chance that they don’t have the exact implant you are using, it is safe to pick an implant that is similar in size. Or you can create a custom implant size for your planning.
