It looks like there’s great interproximal Bone so that’s what you should lean into on a case like this. You may have to go slightly wider to get really good engagement on the mesial and distal walls and remove some of the lingual portion of the bone socket just slightly so that you can maintain a good 2 mm buccal gap so you have sufficient…

Hey Dojo peeps! Hope everyone is doing great😁…Can anyone name this suture technique? Which suture technique do you use the most? This case was just a straight forward socket preservation with some CGF/PRF for a future implant.
ALSO…what would you all like to talk about and discuss at the next webinar this month??? PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT SO I…

Here’s a full arch we did for this patient with 6 implants for a fixed hybrid. Bone reduction for these cases can be crucial especially depending on your approach and material selection. Good keratinized tissue around your multi unit abutments and/or locators are also key to long term success.
What are some key factors you focus on? What are…

@restoredsmiles ahhh you’re one of those guys who’s patients don’t bleed… 😆 jk that is great work!
I struggle with how to handle excess tissue left after bone reduction. I’ve seen people cut off a band of tissue including the papillae – but that often causes more bleeding and I still end up with a “flabby” sutured tissue since its… Read more1- View 1 reply

Which approach for sinus lift would you do here
Clinical experience and research shows they have almost the same success rate as long implants. If you have the bone width, I do prefer to go wider when I go shorter if there’s enough bone and biology to allow that.

Which approach for sinus lift would you do here
I would choose option #1. Typically if the RBH is 4mm or more I will do a Crestal sinus lift rather than a lateral sinus lift. Irregular anatomy may be easier to manipulate via the Crestal approach as well is this case.

Here is a little sinus action to get your Easter weekend off to a great start😁. Placed 6cc of bone with a 50/50 mix allograft and xenograft. We will let this cook for 6 months prior to implant placement.

It very well could be a mucus retained cyst (very common) which typically we don’t do anything for unless you need to do a sinus lift, and that can be physically removed doing a lateral window and if you don’t want to take that on you could have the ENT remove that so it is clear and will give you a better opportunity to do a proper Crestal sinus lift.

Hello William,
The design looks relatively good relative to how the implants were replaced. As you drew the lines, you could obviously make a better emergency profile from the head so there’s more of a convex rather than concave emergence profile. You could get a little tissue compression may be around a millimeter or so, but it just depends on…

Lots of bone building needed with this case in order for the patient to receive his desired implant. Elderly patient had a failed bridge and he preferred to have individual teeth this time around. However, patient presented with severe bone resorption around the upper right lateral incisor area. We opted to place the implant and…
