this one’s a doozy, not sure what I would do in this case !

This is really crazy. Thankfully I’ve never had to deal with that myself but in general you have to open up a window and get it out of these. When it’s that high up that’s a bit crazier

Tightened inplant which starts spinning
Ok, so I always place my Neodent subcrestal. I was told that leaving the implant in the cortical layer of.bone will cause resorbption. Its important to drill deeper than you intend. It also depends on density. If I were placing a 1st molar in a healed site I would drill to 10 mm with 2.2 drill then drill to a 5.0 at 8mm then place a 5×8. I… Read more

Tightened inplant which starts spinning
Hello Ash! Thank you for being part of the community. this is the perfect place to seek guidance on this.
The #1 reason I have found that this happens is because the implant hits the bottom of the prep. Especially in harder bone.
To avoid this, I always prep 1.5mm beyond the desired implant length. Can you tell us a bit more bout the case? Any…

Can u take a wash impression under a PMMA if theres is not enough tissue contact or is it best to take a new master cast impression?

It depends on the lab, but many times yes.

I’m with @suredds, Old school wax ups are the best!
You can do a new school wax up just using blue sky bio. You can add a tooth within that software that somewhat matches the patient’s existing dentition. Do you know how to add teeth in the software?
8-9mm MD length sounds reasonable. It doesn’t have to be an exact textbook size, but it should…

So a molar is about 8 mm mesial distal. I would use opposing dentition to help determine tooth size. If you wanna go old school you can capture models and wax up some teeth. ????

Use air and really dry the acrylic but you can see the outline of the access on the occlusal of 5,6. I would block enough time and just go slow. Best part is since the prosthesis is plastic it’s easily repairable. U got this.

It’s definitely unfortunate when they don’t even check back with their master cast to verify that before they ship it to the doctor🤦♂️🤦♂️🤷♂️

Those days always make me wonder if I should switch labs, then I realize that it happens with them all sometimes. :/

Whats are everyones thoughts. I saw an ad for a doc who will teach you the technique below. He claims he immediately loads his cases also. How would a pt care for this while healing.

It looks like those little what they call many implants that some doctors place during the temporization. Period x-ray. They look like they’re actually located type of attachments and are removable and if that’s the case, then they would be able to remove them back-and-forth to keep them clean if that’s not the case and their screw retains and…
