Good day Doctors
If I have an implant system without ti base manufacturing.. how could I know the compatible part from other system is working well ( dess and SIS system are compatible with ossteum company ) :/
Some laboratory use the prefabricated abutment for scrow type prosthesis instead of ti base! .. what kind of problem should I expect…

Hello Nisreen,
I believe that question would be best asked to your implant rep of that company along with a trusted and well respected lab.
I would ALWAYS recommend that you use OEM parts with your implant system b/c they truely have better more consist fits and less issues overall, so if you Nobel use Nobel parts, neodent then neodent,…

Also, if you place the implant slightly more lingual and upright the implant slightly more lingual in terms of angulation from buccal to lingual, I don’t think you’ll need additional grafting in that area potentially

Hey doc,
The shorter implant you selected should be fine. There’s actually great research that shows almost the same or very similar success rate with shorter implants compared with normal length or longer implants. However, if you have sufficient bone width it’s best to go wider if you’re going shorter to help compensate to minimize the…

I have a patient who looks like a good implant candidate for a mandibular overdenture.
I’ve never done one before but the ridge width is adequate and the patient appears to have enough interocclusal space. Immediate were made about 5 months ago.
My question is, when deciding where to place the implants, do you guys routinely make a large flap…

Lots of different ways to go about it. However, I do prefer to do a full thickness flap to visualize the bone very well. If the patient has decent bone width distal to the mental foramen then I would take your incision distal to where the second molar would be so you have a great working space and I prefer to place four implants if the patient…

I’m not sure if I missed this, but do you hire an anesthesiologist to sedate your patients ?

Hi,
These are images of a recent scan.
This is 5 months after #19 implant was explanted (failed 2 weeks after placement) and simultaneous grafting was done.
I have currently planned for a Hiossen 4.5x7mm with buccal veneer grafting. This will be placed relatively deep due to ridge atrophy. What are your thoughts on this deep placement…

Surgical guide and fixation pins?
Many ways you Can design to help improve your stability. Seeing that it is tooth born guide it should be very stable and you could do one screw fixation towards the gingiva side of the guide close to where you’re placing the implants. You also could have three fixation screws to have a more robust fixation one on the lower left and lower right…

Surgical guide and fixation pins?
Hi,
I am concerned with not having a distal tooth stop on LL and UR of my surgical guides. Would placing a fixation screw(s) help stabilize them? If so, where? If not, then is there any other way to stabilize it better?
I have used a guide before without a distal tooth stop but only one tooth distal to a real tooth (e.g. #30 implant next to…
