I’m with @suredds, Old school wax ups are the best!
You can do a new school wax up just using blue sky bio. You can add a tooth within that software that somewhat matches the patient’s existing dentition. Do you know how to add teeth in the software?
8-9mm MD length sounds reasonable. It doesn’t have to be an exact textbook size, but it should…

Hello everyone,
These are osstem bone level implants which i placed 3 months ago. Upper right first premolar was immediate after extraction with grafting in the gap. 3 months after you can see some slight bone loss especially mesially of the upper premolar implant, would like to know the cause and how to prevent this? Also if implants are…
Kiraly, Erick and 5 others-
For the upper pre-molar, potentially, it may not have been deep enough. The x-ray does look like it could’ve been deep enough, but if there was some buccal or Palatal bone loss on the mesial then it may had to have been slightly deeper to compensate for that and if there’s too much bone loss on either of those walls, it would definitely be…

Another thing to consider is the proximity to the tooth anterior tooth. Did the anterior teeth have any perio-disease? Studies show that disease from neighboring teeth can extend up to 2mm outwards. This might be something to consider. Thanks for sharing!

Here’s a case to follow up on our immediate implant placement discussion this past Monday. I’m not a huge fan of having to do a fixed temporary crown chair side if I don’t have to but I want the benefits of it and not the risk of the patient biting into something that can compromise the surgery. So, many times I’ll do these custom healing…

Hello Safanah! I typically don’t stick to one general number they can range from 7 to 9 mm or even greater but much of it depends on the patients occlusion and their existing dentition. Yes, you could go old-school like some mentioned and do a model and wax up or you can just do that digitally very similar to what you did and get it pretty good…

So a molar is about 8 mm mesial distal. I would use opposing dentition to help determine tooth size. If you wanna go old school you can capture models and wax up some teeth. ????

Hi,
I am planning an implant bridge case, planning to place 2 implants, #18 area and #20 area. Creating a guide for this and was wondering if there is a rule about the ideal distance/space to leave for a future pontic on #19 area. Thank you!
